Becca is a researcher, educator, and neuroaffirming executive function coach. She specializes in supporting adults and older teens who want to find ways of building from their strengths to handle things like procrastination, distractibility, motivation, time-management, and more. She also leads the course Spicy Brains Get Stuff Done on Maven, for professionals who enjoy learning how to work with their unique brains in community with other neurospicy adults.

Becca spent about a decade teaching, researching, and leading tutoring centers in higher ed, and about a decade as a nonprofit executive. She first learned how to support people whose brains work differently as a writing center tutor and, eventually, trained and taught others on how to do the same. She carried these skills into management, first in higher ed departments and then into nonprofit leadership. Once she released the book on helping teens build sustainable motivation (Can You Help me Give a Sh*t? Unlocking Teen Motivation in School and Life), she began to get requests from schools, parents, and organizations to coach and lead workshops on this and related topics.

Becca doesn't just come at this from the outside, however; she's neurodivergent herself (as she puts it, she has "several spices in the mental spice cabinet.") She's also a parent, spouse, and sibling of autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, dysgraphic, and anxiety-prone family members.

However, she's not a licensed therapist or medical professional (though she knows good ones to refer you to if you're in SE Pennsylvania). She shares insights from research and experience to spark ideas, exploration, and discussion, so you can identify what works for you.
